Clarification of the regulatory status of Validus-FZCO and VMarketing Ltd, and Validus

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) wishes to clarify the regulatory status of two firms called Validus-FXCO and VMarketing Ltd, and of the brand “Validus”.

Validus-FZCO is not located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).  It is not, and have never been, licenced by the DFSA to provide Financial Services or make Financial Promotions in or from the DIFC.

VMarketing Ltd has a registered address in Unit 31-30, Level 31, Central Park Offices, DIFC.  However, VMarketing Ltd also is not, and has never been, licenced to carry out any Financial Services or Financial Promotions activities in or from the DIFC.

The DFSA has become aware of:

  • websites, social media and other promotional material representing that “Validus Headquarters” are located in the DIFC.  Neither Validus nor its headquarters are located in the DIFC; and
  • the brands “Team Validus”, “Vewards”, ”V Mastery” and “V-Connect” are all used by “Validus”.  These brands are not licenced or in any way authorised by the DFSA, and they are not located in the DIFC.

The DFSA has a page its website dedicated to alerts it has issued about scams.  All clarifications and alerts issued by the DFSA may be accessed by going to: ALERTS

The DFSA has also issued warnings and guidance about the common types of scams perpetrated on consumers.  For more information on these scams, please go to: HOW TO AVOID BEING SCAMMED

DFSA Authorised Firms are subject to financial services laws and rules administered by the DFSA.  These laws and rules are designed to protect users and potential users of the financial services industry in the DIFC, including consumers, when they engage with an Authorised Firm to obtain a financial product or financial service.

Only DFSA Authorised Firms are permitted to provide financial services in or from the DIFC, subject to the laws and rules mentioned above. If you are unsure of the regulatory status of a firm, please check the DFSA’s PUBLIC REGISTER before entering into any financial services activity with that firm.

If you have any concerns about the authenticity of any correspondence or documents that purport to be issued by the DIFC, DFSA or a DFSA regulated Firm, you should direct your concerns to the DIFC on Tel: +971 4 362 2222 and to the DFSA via the DFSA Complaints function on: COMPLAINTS.
