DFSA Impersonation: Misuse of DFSA's Name

​The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and members of the public to a scam involving the fraudulent use of the name of the DFSA.The perpetrators of the scam use the name "Ivan Wilfred Associates UAE" and contact consumers claiming that they can facilitate the payment of a "Fund" to the consumer's account. However, in order to facilitate the payment, Ivan Wilfred Associates UAE:The DFSA informs you that:The DFSA strongly advises that you do not respond to Ivan Wilfred Associates UAE, and under no circumstances should you send any money to them.The DFSA has a page on its website dedicated to Alerts which it has issued in relation to scams.  All Alerts issued by the DFSA may be accessed by going to:Your-Resources/dfsa-alertsThe DFSA has recently issued warnings and guidance about the common types of scams perpetrated on consumers.
