DIFC Individual Impersonated in a Fraudulent Scam

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and members of the public of a fraudulent internet scam sent by e-mail.The e-mail claims to represent His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Saleh, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). It offers inpiduals an opportunity to share in a backlog of "Excess Maximum Return Capital Profits (EMRCP)", which may appear attractive to inpiduals seeking finance. The e-mail falsely advises victims that the DIFC provides loans and access to funds for procuring investments projects. The scam is linked to organised fraud and the DFSA strongly advises that you do not respond to the e-mail.
