The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) is committed to safeguarding investors, protecting markets, and strengthening the resilience of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Cyber security is a critical part of this mission.
As financial services become more digital, the risks of cybercrime, fraud, and operational disruption grow. Raising awareness of these risks, sharing best practices, and strengthening resilience across the DIFC community are central to our work. These efforts also align with the ambitions of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the DIFC Strategy 2030 to build a secure, sustainable, and globally competitive financial hub.
Building cyber awareness together Cyber security is a shared responsibility. Through awareness campaigns, scam alerts, supervisory oversight, and community initiatives like the DFSA's Threat Intelligence Platform, the DFSA is helping protect investors and strengthen the DIFC’s position as a secure financial hub.Cyber Security Awareness Month and IOSCO's World Investor Week
Each October marks Cyber Security Awareness Month, a global initiative led by the National Cybersecurity Alliance and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency – and now embraced worldwide.
This coincides with our participation in IOSCO's World Investor Week, taking place on 6-12 October 2025, which brings regulators and organisations together to promote investor protection and financial literacy.
At the DFSA, we combine these global efforts to highlight the importance of cyber awareness for both firms and individual investors by highlighting practical steps everyone can take to stay safe online.
