DFSA publishes FAQ on the annual AML Return and reminds Firms of 30 September 2025 deadline

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has published a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document to support Relevant Persons in completing their annual AML Return. The FAQ reflects key queries raised by Firms during a recent DFSA outreach session.

All Relevant Persons are reminded that the annual AML Return must be submitted via the DFSA ePortal by 30 September 2025.

The annual AML Return is a critical regulatory requirement designed to strengthen oversight of money laundering risks and safeguard the integrity of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Timely and accurate reporting enables the DFSA to identify trends, enhance supervision, and support the wider fight against financial crime.

Please note that the FAQ provides practical guidance for Firms and is intended to complement, not replace, the DFSA Rulebook. Firms are encouraged to review the document carefully when preparing their submissions.

For any additional queries, Relevant Persons should submit their questions directly via the DFSA ePortal.
