The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and the public to a scam involving two firms falsely claiming to be regulated by the DFSA.

The scammers have set up two fraudulent websites, namely “agicmaroc.com” and “kulanient.com”, which falsely claim that AGI Cmaroc Ltd and Kulanient Ltd each hold a DFSA Licence by:

•  fraudulently displaying the DFSA logo;
• including a link each to a fraudulent domain that clones the DFSA’s Public Register website, namely “https://dubai-finance-certifications.net/firm-448879.html” and “https://dubai-finance-certifications.net/firm-302917.html”;
• using fake DFSA reference numbers for AGI Cmaroc and Kulanient; and
• claiming that AGI Cmaroc is “regulated and supervised” by the DFSA.

The DFSA informs you that:

• AGI Cmaroc Ltd and Kulanient Ltd are not, and have never been, authorised by the DFSA;
• the DFSA’s Public Register website has been cloned, and the fraudulent domains specified above have no connection with the DFSA;
• the legitimate DFSA’s Public Register website is available at www.dfsa.ae/public-register/firms; and
• the DFSA has issued an alert on its website regarding recent scams that involve the cloning of its Public Register. The alert is available here.

The DFSA strongly advises you not to respond to any communications regarding these scams, and under no circumstances should you send or give any money to any party connected to the scams.
