False Claim of DFSA Authorisation by Tasenovass LTD. and Akanivutar

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and the public to a scam in which two firms operating two trading platforms - namely, Tasenovass LTD. and Akanivutar - falsely claim to be regulated by the DFSA.

In an attempt to validate the scam, the scammers created:

  • a fake website similar to the DFSA’s Public Register which represents that Tasenovass LTD. is licensed by the DFSA; and
  • two fake websites for each of the trading platforms which contain representations that the trading platforms are regulated by the DFSA and other international regulators.

The DFSA confirms that:

  • neither Tasenovass LTD. nor Akanivutar are or have never been authorised by the DFSA; and
  • the trading platforms created by Tasenovass LTD. nor Akanivutar are not regulated by the DFSA.

The DFSA strongly advises you to exercise extreme caution and not to respond to any communications from these firms or use either of the trading platforms.

The DFSA has a page on its website dedicated to alerts which it has issued about scams. All alerts issued by the DFSA may be accessed by going to: ALERTS

The DFSA has also issued warnings and guidance about the common types of scams perpetrated on consumers. For more information on these scams, please go to: HOW TO AVOID BEING SCAMMED

The DFSA encourages consumers to refer to the list of regulated Firms and Authorised Individuals licensed by the DFSA that is available on the DFSA's: PUBLIC REGISTER
