DFSA Authorised Firm, Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited (DIFC Branch), Impersonated in Scam

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and the public to a scam in which a DFSA Authorised Firm – namely, Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited (DIFC Branch) - has been impersonated.

The scammers use the name “Interactive Investments & Brokerage LLC” and issue “Crypto Subscription Agreement” to the victims.

The DFSA confirms that Interactive Investments & Brokerage LLC:

  • is not incorporated or located in the DIFC; and
  • is not, and has never been, authorised or registered by the DFSA and the DIFC.

The DFSA also confirms that Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited (DIFC Branch) is not associated with Interactive Investments & Brokerage LLC.

In an attempt to appear legitimate, the scammers have fraudulently:

  • used the name and logo of Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited (DIFC Branch) in the Crypto Subscription Agreement;
  • used false addresses in the same locations where Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited (DIFC Branch) has legitimate offices; and
  • promoted a subscription scheme for Remittix tokens (RTX) through the Crypto Subscription Agreement.

The DFSA strongly advises you not to respond to any communications regarding the above scam, and under no circumstances should you send or give any money to any party connected to the scam.

The DFSA has a page on its website dedicated to alerts, which it has issued about scams. All alerts issued by the DFSA may be accessed by going to Alerts
