The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and the public to a scam in which a DFSA Authorised Firm, RUSD Capital, was impersonated.

The scammers have created a fraudulent website (“https://rusd.capital/”), falsely claiming to be RUSD Capital Limited. This website is in no way affiliated with the DFSA Authorised Firm or the DFSA. The fraudulent website uses, without permission:

• RUSD Capital’s name; and
• falsely claims to be DFSA Regulated.

The fraudulent website:

• Gives an address in the DIFC;
• states that RUSD Capital is regulated by the DFSA as a Category 4 Firm; and
• provides the financial service of Managing a Collective Investment Fund.

The DFSA notes that the address given, the category of firm and the financial services references do not match the details of the genuine DFSA Authorised Firm as noted on the DFSA Public Register.

The DFSA strongly advises against visiting the fraudulent website or responding to any communications regarding the above scam, and under no circumstances should you send or give any money to any party connected to the scam.

The DFSA encourages consumers to refer to the list of regulated Firms and Authorised Individuals licensed by the DFSA that is available on the DFSA's Public Register.
