Who can apply for Masaar, DFSA's graduate programme?

The programme is open to UAE Nationals who have recently graduated or are about to complete their studies. Applicants must meet the DFSA’s eligibility criteria and demonstrate the required competencies.

What type of formal training will I receive?

In your first year, you will follow a structured curriculum covering a wide range of topics related to regulation, professional skills, and leadership.

In the second year, the DFSA will sponsor you to pursue relevant industry qualifications such as Risk in Financial Services, Anti-Money Laundering, or similar.

Can I pursue a Master's degree before applying for Masaar?

Yes, Master’s degree holders are encouraged to apply. The DFSA also supports UAE Nationals who wish to pursue postgraduate education as part of their professional development.

What does the DFSA look for in an application?

Academic achievement is important, but we also assess key competencies such as communication, leadership, motivation, teamwork, problem solving, analytical thinking, adaptability, and professional maturity.

What is the working culture like at the DFSA?

Standard hours are 9 per day (either 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm, including a one-hour lunch break, depending on your manager), from Monday to Friday. During peak periods, you may be expected to work additional hours to support the organisation’s needs.

What level of commitment is expected from DFSA Graduate Associates?

You must be fully committed to completing the two-year programme. It’s a demanding but rewarding experience, and your performance will be continuously reviewed through on-the-job learning, assessments, and completion of professional qualifications.
